When the Stomp_Tone is switched OFF, “true bypass” mode is enabled and the guitar sounds as if the pedal is not even there.

The Stomp_Tone™ was developed because the SestroniX™ founders were unable to find a pedal that consistently provided the unique tone they were searching for. The sound on most pedals slowly degrades during use until they sound terrible. SestroniX™ effects sound the same the entire time they are used because the units continuously monitor the battery voltage. If the battery voltage is too low, the Stomp_Tone™ automatically switches into “true bypass” mode (your guitar always works).
Stomp_Tone™ Pedals have the same great sound as the Mini_Tone™ and the revolutionary Micro_Tone™. Stomp_Tone™ overdrive/distortion units have a heavy duty foot switch and are housed in a metal box for durability. Stomp_Tone™ units can be connected directly to an amplifier or mounted in a pedal board. The Stomp_Tone™ is compatible with any electric guitar.

One of the issues we have found with most pedals is slow degradation of the sound effect. As the session goes on the guitar sound changes in unpredictable ways and may not be noticed until the effect sounds terrible. All SestroniX™ effects prevent this by continuously monitoring the battery or input DC voltage. If the voltage is too low, the unit is automatically switched into “true bypass” mode (your guitar always works).
The microprocessor in the Stomp_Tone™ circuit board performs "house-keeping" for the effect. Pressing the foot switch on the Stomp_Tone™ tells the microprocessor to turn ON or OFF the effect and illuminate the battery status LED on the panel. Every 250ms the microprocessor checks the 9 volt battery voltage. A green LED indicates the battery voltage is good. The LED turns red and flashes at a one second rate as the first indication the battery should be replaced soon. The red LED flashes at a 1⁄4 second rate as a warning that the battery voltage is very low and the battery should be replaced as soon as possible. Finally, when the LED turns solid red, the battery is below the minimum useable level. When this happens the microprocessor places the Stomp_Tone™ in the BYPASS mode and the effect cannot be re-enabled until a fresh battery is installed.
